Regardless of the benefit product or service, SOMI provides an array of support services to ensure that our clients’ needs are met effectively and efficiently. Communication and Enrollment Communication, enrollment and set-up are SOMI’s responsibilities. We feel that we have not fulfilled our commitment to our customers unless we have thoroughly communicated all the plans options and enrolled each participating employee. Communication and enrollment is managed using all or a combination of the following:
- Custom enrollment booklets including consolidated enrollment form.
- Group enrollment meetings
- Individual enrollment meetings
- SOMI’s Web enrollment option, called SOMI Solutions
return to top Banking/Funding of Claims SOMI offers a variety of funding options to our customers in managing their self-funded Medical, Dental, Short Term Disability and Flexible Benefit Plans. Each of our customers establishes a specific checking account from which funds are drafted as claim checks clear the bank. When employee deposits are made for pre tax benefits, such as MSA’s or Flexbile Benefit Plans, we recommend a separate checking account.
In addition, we provide: - Weekly check issuance, twice a week for larger volume clients
- Processing of voids and refunds
return to top ID Cards SOMI uses a plastic Combo Card that identifies all the coverages an employee has through SOMI thereby eliminating the need for multiple cards. SOMI operates under a 7 working day turn around time for ID card production.
return to top Reporting SOMI provides each customer with a series of monthly, semi annual and annual reports to help monitor their plan’s performance on a continuous basis. In addition to the various claims, procedural and diagnostic reporting, SOMI provides normative data and plan design options to help our customers make plan and contribution decisions that fit their special needs in managing these benefits. Customized reporting is also available on a time and materials basis.
